Features & Benefits

ActiveRoles Server Quick Connect

Features

  • IdentitySync

ActiveRoles Quick Connect synchronizes authoritative identities (typically user accounts) between systems. This permits an Active Directory user to authenticate (log-on) to non-Active Directory applications or data sources.
  • PasswordSync

ActiveRoles Quick Connect password synchronization sets initial passwords during provisioning, captures password change in Active Directory and synchronizes it in connected systems and can perform individual password resets through integration with Quest Password Manager.
  • AutoMapping

ActiveRoles Quick Connect automatically reconciles associated objects (user, groups, etc.) between source and target systems. If an association is not made, a new identity can be created automatically and associated with an object in the related system. In addition to automatically creating a new object, a list of rules can be created to define naming conventions, simplifying object creation. In cases where the data does not support the automatic association of objects between systems, manual mapping is available.

  • ErrorControl

ErrorControl reduces the impact of synchronization errors by providing thresholds and stop conditions that determine if or when synchronization should halt due to error conditions.
  • Codeless Transformation

During synchronization, the Quick Connect object transformation feature converts object types during synchronization so that the source and target objects can be of different object type.
  • AccessSync

ActiveRoles Quick Connect synchronizes authorization objects (typically groups or roles) between Active Directory and non-Active Directory integrated applications or data sources. Because groups and/or roles are the most authorized objects between systems, AccessSync extends your enterprise-wide investment in Active Directory group management.

Benefits

  • Decreases cost and risks associated with the manual provisioning process by removing human involvement.

  • Leverages existing infrastructure to synchronize identity data between HR/ERP systems, Identity Stores and Active Directory.

  • Deploys in days not months.

  • Requires virtually no IT resources to maintain.

  • Extends ActiveRoles Server into the provisioning process on non-Active Directory connected systems for end-to-end identity and access synchronization.

  • Improves the provisioning process from slow, manual and error-prone to immediate, automated and error-free.

  • Eliminates unregulated access to network resources by documenting and enforcing user/group access.

  • Simplifies connecting to, importing and synchronizing identity, password and access data from HR/ERP systems (or any systems connected to MIIS) into Active Directory.
