Recovery Manager for SharePoint supported backups:

• Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 
• Symantec Veritas NetBackup
• Symantec Backup Exec
• IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Databases
• Detached backup files (*.mdf or *.ldf)

Before installing Recovery Manager, ensure your system meets the following minimum hardware and software requirements:

Recovery Manager host

Platform	Intel x86, x64 (500MHz or higher)
Operating System	Either of the following: Microsoft Windows 2003 SP1 or later Microsoft Windows XP SP2 or later Microsoft Windows Server 2008
Additional Software & Services	Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 (SP1 recommended) LiteSpeed 5.2.0 or higher (required for enhanced backup analysis) Windows PowerShell 1.0 downloadable from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/technologies/management/powershell/default.mspx (required for PowerShell Cmdlets)

SharePoint Server

Software & Services

Either of the following: Windows SharePoint Services v.2 SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Windows SharePoint Services v.3 Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

SharePoint Backend SQL server

Platform	Intel x86 /x64
Memory	Minimum 512MB. 2GB of RAM are recommended.
Additional Software	Either of the following: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 SP4 Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SP1 or later SPs Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express SP1 or later SPs Microsoft SQL Server 2008

Note: Before installing Recovery Manager for SharePoint {Backup Type} Agents, make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 installed. You can install it from the Redistributables folder available in on the CD.
